Located in downtown Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Hill Ski area is the oldest operating ski area in North America. The resort offers a total of 35 groomed trails and five ski lifts for its 406 skiable acres. It has a base elevation of 8,202 ft, with a 9,202 ft summit on the East Mountain and a 9,166 ft summit on the West. The annual average snowfall is 220 inches.
