Granby Ranch

Granby, CO

A half hour drive from Winter Park, Graby Ranch is a picturesque resort with two interconnected mountains that filter down to one central base. It features nearly 1,000 feet of vertical, 900 acres of skiable terrain and 41 trails. The East Mountain provides more options for beginners and intermediate skiiers and the West Mountain is better suited for advanced skiers and snowboarders.  You’ll also find a cross-country trail system at the summit, dining options, a rental/retail shop and night skiing and tubing.

Loveland

Georgetown, CO

Colorado’s true winter wonderland, Loveland is just 53 miles west of Denver and 48 miles from Winter Park. This remarkable ski area is known for its no-frills attitude and an average of 400 inches of snowfall each year. It offers 1,800 acres of terrain and free snowcat skiing along the Continental Divide. The majority of its 93 trails are marked for intermediate and advanced skiers with only 13% for beginners.

Berthoud Pass

Winter Park, CO

Once a thriving ski resort, Berthoud Pass is now the gateway to thrilling backcountry adventures. Located just 10 miles from Winter Park, there are no lifts, no lodge and no ski patrol, but the 65 trails that covered the old ski resort’s 1,200 acres can still be found. Dedicated back-country enthusiasts will drive to the summit of the pass and then hike to their desired location to ski down. Extreme caution should be taken, but if you are looking for an exhilarating run, Berthoud Pass is one place to find it.
